Day 1

Capital City : Kigali

Upon arrival in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Kigali is known for its cleanliness and vibrant culture. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a city tour, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and the local craft markets. Spend the evening at leisure.

Kigali - Nyungwe National Park

After breakfast, depart for Nyungwe National Park (approximately 5-6 hours by road), one of the oldest rainforests in Africa, teeming with biodiversity. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax. Nyungwe is renowned for its large chimpanzee population and stunning landscapes.

Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Rise early for an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe’s dense rainforest. Lake Kivu – Volcanoes National Park

After a leisurely morning at Lake Kivu, depart for Volcanoes National Park (approximately 3 hours). This park is world-famous for its population of endangered mountain gorillas. Check into your lodge near the park and relax, preparing for the exciting adventure ahead.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Today is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast, head out for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Led by expert trackers, you will hike through the dense forests of Volcanoes National Park in search of a gorilla family. Spend up to an hour with these majestic creatures, observing their behaviors and interactions in the wild.

After your trek, you may also opt for an afternoon trek to see the golden monkeys, another endangered primate species found in the park.

Departure from Kigali

After breakfast, transfer back to Kigali (approximately 2.5 hours by road). Depending on your flight schedule, you can explore the city further or do some last-minute shopping before being transferred to the airport for your departure.
